Prior to establishing Fyans‑Jimenez Law, Ms. Fyans‑Jimenez served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Bloomington, where she handled all state court litigation, administrative proceedings, labor hearings, arbitrations, contract negotiations, state and federal agency litigation, and employment investigations. She previously practiced as a shareholder and partner at Sorling Northrup, where she represented private and public employers, commercial and residential landlords, and clients in estate planning, estate administration, and family law matters. She joined Sorling Northrup in 2014.

Ms. Fyans‑Jimenez began her career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Sangamon County. From 2003 to 2013, she served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Springfield, Illinois, handling municipal ordinance prosecution, labor and employment matters, litigation, complex transactions, real estate and zoning issues, and civil matters in state, federal, and appellate courts. In these roles, she advised numerous City departments and commissions. She is also licensed in Utah, where she practiced family law, bankruptcy, and immigration law.
